I’ve happy to announce that finally, FINALLY, the pre-print of the paper I’ve been working on for nearly a year is ready: https://www.authorea.com/users/584417/articles/625856-mantle-deformation-processes-during-the-rift-to-drift-transition-at-magma-poor-margins. It’s also available through Research Gate: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/368840827_Mantle_Deformation_Processes_during_the_Rift-to-Drift_Transition_at_Magma-Poor_Margins. I’ve also just given a talk about this and future research avenues which should be up here soon. This is the first paper on which I’ve been the first author and man has it been a learning experience. Pro-tip, make figures and captions first. It will save you the headache later.
In other news, I’ll be heading to Houston for the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference (LPSC) to get a handle on Venusian tectonics and the potential of the VERITAS, DA VINCI, and EnVision spacecraft have. Should be fun!
